Full Selection of Text-Retrieval and Imaging Toolkits and
Applications Available at GSA Bargain Prices

STILLWATER, OK March 5, 1996 -- TMS, pioneer and continuing leader in text-retrieval and imaging software, announced today that all of its products have been accepted by the General Services Administration for procurement via the GSA Schedule. Now these products are easier to procure and at outstanding pricing for Government agencies and Government contractors. Included are TMS' long-successful text-retrieval application, InnerView, and its state-of-the-art text-retrieval toolkit, MasterView. These products feature Boolean searching, hierarchical searching, domain searching, hyperlinking, and a host of sophisticated features for navigating complex document-sets. Most notable is TMS' superior imaging technology built into these text-retrieval tools, making them ideally suited for document-sets that contain a substantial number of images.

Also included on the GSA Schedule are TMS' full suite of imaging applications and toolkits. These include ViewDirector imaging toolkits; for programmers developing simple to sophisticated imaging applications for Microsoft Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, Macintosh, OS/2, RS6000, HP9000, Informix NewEra, Sun OS(Solaris 1), and Solaris 2 platforms. These toolkits support a wide variety of black & white image formats and color formats, as well as specialized Government formats such as CALS, JEDMICS, and NIRS/NIFF. They feature sophisticated end-user features, such as annotation, redlining, two types of magnifying glasses, and an unsurpassed "birdseye" for viewing large images, such as engineering drawings and architectural designs.

ViewDirector is probably best known for its remarkable speed of display. ViewDirector's latest sibling, ViewDirector/VBX, a Visual Basic Custom Control is also offered at very attractive pricing.

ScanDirector, a suite of toolkits for developing scanning applications, is also available. ScanDirector lets programmers take full advantage of the features of a wide variety of popular desktop, medium-throughput, and high-throughput scanners. Scanning applications may be developed for Microsoft Windows, Windows 95, and Solaris 2 platforms. Also available is ScanDirector/VBX, a Visual Basic Custom Control for easy application development.

RasterView, an image viewing and printing application, is also offered. It's built around the same high-speed imaging engine as ViewDirector, and supports the same broad spectrum of image formats. It is designed to be easily DDE-linked to other applications such as Microsoft Access for image retrieval. DDE software and documentation are supplied with each copy of RasterView.

Founded in 1981, TMS develops foundation-technology text-retrieval and imaging software. Related to these, TMS offers custom programming services, document conversion services, and CD-ROM publishing assistance; all targeted to assist companies and Government agencies in migrating from paper to electronic document systems. TMS, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ Bulletin Board under the symbol "TMSS", is headquartered in Stillwater OK, with field offices in Mountain View CA and Groton CT.
